Copper is a type of metal roof that many residential customers choose for a variety of reasons. Rubber is the best choice for a flat roof because it is durable and water-resistant. The downside to rubber is that it can heat quickly, causing the room beneath it to become hot. If you don’t mind spending a little extra money, you can choose a metal roof for a flat roof.
An asphalt roof will cost between $8,000 and $15,000. The exact cost is determined by the square footage of the roof. If you have smaller square footage, you should expect to pay closer to the $8,000 price range, whereas a larger roof can cost upwards of $15,000.
